Helio Urban Development Inc. (“Helio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects information when you use the Helio Deal Portal (“Service”). The types of information we collect include:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and organization details provided during registration
  • Project data: Financial inputs, deal configurations, and analysis parameters you enter into the Service
  • Usage data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, pages visited, and session duration
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address collected automatically when you access the Service

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process your financial analyses and generate deal reports
  • Provide AI-assisted analysis and recommendations
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information:

  • Clerk: Authentication and user account management. Clerk processes your login credentials and account profile information.
  • Supabase: Database hosting and data storage. Your project data and deal configurations are stored securely in Supabase infrastructure hosted in Canada.
  • Anthropic: AI-powered features. When you use Helio AI, your prompts and relevant project context are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and project data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information and project data within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian privacy legislation, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Withdraw consent for the collection or use of your information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided below. We will respond to your request within thirty (30) days.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is designed for business use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
